July 4th on the 3rd

Happy Independence Day! I've decided it is my favorite holiday! It started Sat morning with a pancake breakfast at our church after which the children got to parade the parking lot on their bikes and scooters adorned in Flags and other red, white and blue decor. Wyatt wore his "Made in the USA" shirt and got a ride in a wagon with a future friend, as he attempted to dismantle all the decor off the wagon. It was fun to watch them ride around. JR took a couple breathers from riding his scooter and even got ran into, but no injuries. Later in the afternoon me and kids went to the pool, then we had dinner with some friends after Monte came home from work. Then he took the top off the Jeep so we could sit in it to watch the fireworks by the park. This worked out very nicely as we were able to drive away and beat all the traffic, good idea Monte! Wyatt slept through them fortunately, but JR whined through them wanting to go home, at least Lissy enjoyed them! Also Wyatt is 7 months old today, wow! These pictures are from my friend Ruthie because I forgot my camera.

I really love Independence Day too! Maybe some day it will be my favorite holiday. I still really get a kick out of halloween, and the kids pick out halloween books from the library year round.
