Not our clubhouse

Today I really wanted to go swimming, it has been sooo hot the past couple days so I was feeling the need! Some friends in our ward just got a pool in their yard, but today she wasn't going to be home. Monte had early mutual so he didn't come home for dinner, so we ate earlier than usual and I thought we'd try to get into his brother's clubhouse after. After all I did have a key, but I still felt sneaky... we got there and the outside gate says not to use during staff hours- dang! We have to go through the office. Okay I thought i'll just act like I know what I'm doing! I've been before just with my sister in law. We go in, scan the card- beep- 'Thank you' says the lady and on we go! As soon as I sit and the kids go into the pool, I thought man I could do this everyday! It has a really big kid pool that goes like a beach and not very deep, and water spray features that are fun! It felt so nice and the kids loved it! I even got to visit with friends that had moved out of our ward a couple months ago into that area of town. And she said she is there almost everyday, so here's to being sneaky and getting that club key some use!

To continue with all the fun things we're doing, I'm going to report on yesterday- monday! First I made myself a chore calendar. I decided I was doing a terrible job at cleaning and yet feel like I'm cleaning and doing laundry all the time, it was just a disorganized mess of no rhyme or reason and no help from anyone. So one (major)chore each day: dust, vacuum, bathrooms, mop, yard, etc etc... and we started with dusting and Lissy enjoys helping with this, so score for me! We each get a damp rag and wiped down the whole house! good thing its small! Check, good job all, now we can play, it was hot! so i told them they could play in the sprinklers..."hooray thanks Mom!" So we'll see if this works, I'll report back later, and next assignment: meal planning!

Today

Okay so it has been way too long since I have even looked at blogs, sorry I need to recommit!!
I'll start by talking about today...Monte is away for work in N. Carolina at a Bassett training Conference. He left Sunday night and will be back late Wed. Meanwhile the kids and I are trying to do lots of fun things and apparently spend lots of money! Today is also our wedding anniversary, 8 years! Yeah Us! After dinner tonight we went for ice cream, Lissy said McDonald's cone, but as we were driving I decided on Cold Stones, after all we are celebrating right?! Lissy got strawberry with sprinkles and JR got Berry with M&M's and I got vanilla with brownies and strawberries- love it! We ate outside cause it turned into a lovely evening and Wyatt sat nicely in his stroller. Then we walked over to the grocery store for some milk and $23 later left with that and yogurt, whipping cream, cantaloupe, apples, lettuce, cucumbers, green beans and two movies from the red box- "Word World:Pirate Sheep" and "Tooth Fairy". They have been really good or maybe they are the same, but I'm doing good. My Mom calls to make sure I'm keeping my sanity, haha at least that's how I see it. She gives me great advice, and has encouraged me to be extra patient, and it sure helps me feel good to do so!

Happy Birthday to my darling curly headed boy! April 16th, can't believe he's 3! We had a fun party with the family, got some fun toys and cool new clothes. Love this Boy!

week review 4-17

The Mommy is finally feeling better for three days in a row now, went for a jog a couple times which felt really good! JR's third birthday was yesterday and we celebrated with the family, lots of fun! I will post more on that when I upload pictures. Also Wyatt rolled over from his back to tummy and keeps on doing it, ahhh! thats the start to the mobility. The kids think its great, JR loves rolling him around. And Lissy told me she wants to be called "Melissa". I explained to her the other day about nicknames, but she wants to be called her name, not nickname. I would hear her correcting Jr when he would call her "Lissy", funny! And I got the playpen out for Wyatt to sleep in finally, he has been in the bassinet still, which he's been too big for for awhile. fun, fun, I'm just so grateful to feel good again, it was not pretty before!!

Perfect bread

I have been really sick the last week and some, with a bad sinus infection. And with getting a new primary presidency the weekend we were at Mom's, I've been busy trying to catch up and get organized with the new president.(I've been the secretary for just under a year) and with all other daily life things that keep me busy, it is hard to get that extra rest needed. It would be nice if Mother Nature didn't allow Mothers to get sick, but...anyways I thought I was getting better until friday I dropped big time, needless to say it wasn't until sunday I got a nap in and today as well. the only things I wanted to get done were to make bread and one load of laundry. I'll start out by saying that when I made bread last time it didn't turn out very good, edible,but not the yummy kind. So today I am proud to say that it is perfect!!! I don't know what I did, but it is perfect, maybe it was JR's poking at the dough while kneading or his extra scoop of flour, who knows! Dinner tonight- bread and salad!
